Indonesia’s Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) has received a US$2.49 million grant from the United States Government to help strengthen smart city planning, reflecting international confidence in the sustainable development of the country’s new capital.

“The grant support reflects international trust in the vision of developing IKN as a future city based on technology and sustainability,” said Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), Basuki Hadimuljono, in Nusantara on Thursday.

PT Samakta Mitra, an information technology (IT) solutions provider and subsidiary of Sinar Mas Land, has partnered with NEC Indonesia to establish a state-of-the-art Smart City Command Center within the Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC) at Kota Deltamas.

The duo said in a statement on Monday that the Smart City Command Center at Deltamas Industrial Estate functions as an integrated monitoring and control center, offering real-time visibility and accuracy over field operations.
