The state's Web portal, Utah.gov, has earned first place in the 2007 Best of the Web competition sponsored by the National Center for Digital Government.
The annual awards program recognizes the most innovative, user-friendly state and local government portals. Utah.gov was also awarded the honor in 2003, making Utah the only state to win the award twice.
The portal is a collaborative effort between the state and Utah Interactive LLC, a Salt Lake-based, wholly owned subsidiary of the e-government firm NIC.
