USA:State of Nebraska Web Site & Online Court Document E-filing Service Receive National Recognition
“We are committed to using technology to make government more efficient and make more services available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week,” said Governor Heineman. “While much has already been accomplished, we must keep this momentum going to meet the challenge of serving our citizens and businesses today and in the future.”
“Nebraska.gov provides citizens an opportunity to interact with state government on their terms and at their convenience,” said Brenda Decker, Chief Information Officer for Nebraska. “We continue to receive feedback from visitors that helps us make improvements and offer additional services. We believe that it is this interaction with our visitors that provides Nebraska the opportunity to be recognized by this national award.”
Nebraska’s Court Document E-Filing also received national attention. The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) has selected Court Document E-filing as a finalist in the 2009 Recognition Awards for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Information Technology.
“The Court Document E-filing service has been a great addition to online services that are offered through the Courts. We are anxious to increase the usage of this program and help people and businesses become more efficient,” said Janice Walker, Nebraska State Court Administrator.
