In response to citizen needs, the Utah Driver License Division announced today the launch of the new Online Scheduler that allows citizens to schedule appointments to obtain, renew, and change driver licenses. This free online tool helps speed up the service by allowing citizens to arrange a convenient time to take care of their driver license needs.
The Online Scheduler is available at http://driverlicense.utah.gov and simplifies the driver license process by allowing citizens to easily schedule appointments to:
- Apply for a new Utah driver license Renew a Utah driver license
- Apply for a learner permit
- Change a name on a Utah driver license
- Get a duplicate Utah driver license
- Apply for limited term licenses and permits
“We're excited to offer this scheduling tool so citizens can make appointments and reduce their wait times in our offices,” said D. Lance Davenport, Commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety. “This Web application is yet another example of the Driver License Division's efforts to improve our services and respond to the needs of our citizens.”
Along with scheduling an appointment, citizens can also complete all required paperwork online, thereby reducing the time they would otherwise spend at a Driver License Division location. The completed information is available for citizens to print along with a reminder of the appointment date and time, as well as specific instructions about what documentation will be required to bring to the appointment.
The Online Scheduler was developed in partnership with Utah Interactive, LLC, a Salt Lake City-based company that specializes in online government services and is a subsidiary of eGovernment provider NIC (NASDAQ: EGOV).
