The occasion also saw the national awards for e-governance presented. The gold medal for excellence in government process re-engineering was presented to the public distribution system online, Chhattisgarh and NIC. Silver went to NIOS online (Ni-On) project, Noida, while bronze was awarded to e-Gazette, Himachal Pradesh.
The gold in the exemplary horizontal transfer of ICT-based best practice category went to e-city, Ahmedabad municipal corporation, Gujarat, silver was awarded to e-Lekha, and the bronze medal was bagged by e-procurement, industry and mines department, Gujarat.
The gold medal for outstanding performance in citizen-centric service delivery was awarded to Jaankari, Bihar while the gold medal in the special sectoral award, focus sector health, went to tele-ophthalmology project-vision centre, Tripura.
Delivering his key note address Kamat said, "My government is committed to provide qualitative consumer satisfaction in its service to the citizens, who have the right to transparent, responsive and accountable governance."
