Puducherry Revenue minister M O H F Shajahan today said that all colleges in Puducherry will be provided with free Wi-Fy facilities shortly.Replying to discussion on demand for grants for various departments including revenue and transport, Mr.Shajahan told the legislative assembly today that the government proposed to start 150 public service centres here and added that an IT park would be set up at Mettuppalayam Industrial Estate area. He said the administration would take steps to set up an animation technology centre at the Kalapet Engineering college through PIPDIC.

Stating that the file tracking system would be introduced here,minister said that the file could be traced under the e-governance. The files of as many as 250 departments would be there in the tracking system. The minister announced that nationality ,caste and income certificates would be issued utilising a single smart card. Further he said that steps would be taken to make traffic in Puducherry congestion free by 2030 adding as many as 300 more buses are required to meet the demands in Puducherry and the government proposed to outsource transport sector keeping the route permits with it. Fixing of metre in autorickshaws would be made compulsory, he said adding that permits would be issued to two-wheeler stores renting out to tourists.
