The service is being offered to customers with maintenance contracts in Bahrain and offers them the chance to register and monitor requests using the internet.
“The Ministry receives over 200 maintenance requests per month, and much of our customers and Ministry staff’s time is used up by their prolonged processing procedures via the traditional channels,” said Hishem Sater, director of IT in the MoW.
“As such, we made this eService a top priority for us and worked diligently with the eGovernment Authority team to simplify the request procedures and offer it online to enable our customers to finish their requests within minutes.”
Officials are encouraging maintenance request users from the public and private sectors to register electronically using the new system. Other request services are already available on the website such as sanitary complaints and sanitary connection requests.
It was recently revealed that the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) in Dubai has banned all developers from increasing maintenance fees.
