During the meeting, His Highness praised the Kingdom of Bahrains accomplished feat this year in terms of winning the topmost UN Public Service Award 2012 for the category of advanced knowledge in the government in consideration for the National Zajil E-Correpondence Project.
His Highness the Deputy Premier stated that this world-class award confirms the Kingdom of Bahrain's advanced level and presigious position in the area of electronics, describing the award as an incentive for the E-Government Authority to further develop its e-services to private citizens,the public sector and the private sector praising the support and attention provided by HRH the Prime Minister andPresident IT and Telecommunicaitons Technology which boosted the plans of e-government in all spheres particulary creative projects as part of national strategy commensurate with Bahrain Economic Development 2030.
The E-Government Authority's CEO, Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed, on behalf of heads and members of the working teams presented a shield to the Deputy Premier ,His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, to commemorate the Kingdom of Bahrain's winning the United Nations' Public Service Award 2012.
The project Zajil E-correspondence is one of the major constructive projects aimed at developing electronic informatics shareable between various national bodies both top confidentially, highly effiicenlty and at quite low administrative costs.
The Kingdom of Bahrain's E-Government Authority was awarded the Award at a ceremony hosted for this purpose at the United Nations General Assembly last June (2012) in the presence of more than 500 contestants from countries all over the world.
