Transforming Government since 2001
The Kingdom of Bahrain eGovernment Authority (eGA), represented by its CEO Mr. Mohammed Al Qaed, honors STS, the leading company in providing complete all rounded Information Technology (IT) solutions in Jordan and the region, with special recognition certificates. The honoring comes as STS completed numerous projects which have led to the success of the eGA national portal.

The projects, executed within the eGA national portal initiative, have been implemented and deployed within record time and include migration of data from AIX Environment to the new Robust Virtual Linux Infrastructure Environment, upgrading the Portal Application System from IBM portal 6.1 to IBM portal 8.0, in addition to providing easy and fast access to information and services, enhanced eServices, and an Interactive interface compatible with smart devices.

STS also assisted in implementing the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), which allows citizens and visitors to submit inquiries, complaints orsuggestions to the Government Entities at any time. Submissions are sent directly to the relevant government agency for further processing and monitored by the ministries themselves.

Another project implemented by STS was the Qur'an Competition System which enables competitors to enter the competition site and record live video clips of their recitations. A jury then evaluates the online entries and sorts them in five phases. At the end, the first five winners will be honored in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The aforementioned projects are considered important implementations of the national portal, which acts as the first integrated national portal of its kind in the Middle East and Gulf region. The national portal is recognized through the advancements and progress made in development and is foreseen to accommodate the next generation in service fulfillment.

Accordingly, Mr. Mohammed Al Qaed, CEO of eGA in Bahrain, added that the next phase for eGA will be to continue migrating the remaining 300 eServices to the new environment, and to add features like personalization and collaboration in order to enrich the user experience.

Mr. Mohammed Al Qaed handed certificates to the STS staff in the Bahrain branch and expressed his gratitude saying: "eGA would not have reached these achievements without the commitment, high skills and caliber displayed by STS employees". Mr. Al Qaed also thanked STS management for their support and flexibility and stressed on the strength of the partnership between eGA and STS.

From his side Rabee' Nawash, the STS Country manager in Bahrain, thanked eGA for the recognition ceremony and the continuous trust eGA has towards STS. He also renewed the STS commitment towards eGA and confirmed that STS views eGA as a premiere strategic partner and views Bahrain as one of the most important markets for STS in the region.
