Dubai Customs has recently launched a bouquet of mobile phone electronic services directed to companies and firms that use "Mirsal 2" in its different customs transactions, and to all clients and staff.

The new service was launched during a celebration that was held at Dubai Customs' main building on Wednesday 26 January 2011with the presence of Mr. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Executive Director of the Customers Management division, and Juma Al Ghaith, Executive Director of the Customs Development Division as well as a number of department's senior executives and representatives of major companies and firms that have partnership with Dubai Customs.

During the celebration, the scope of the new service, which aims at introducing more electronic free 24/7 facilitations, has been identified and explained.

Mr. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Executive Director of the Customers Management division said that the new service will be an added value to all 5800 users of Mirsal 2 who serve more than 100 thousand clients.

The new service will facilitate business greatly because it will save clients lots of time and effort, especially the declaration status inquiry which can be done in almost no time due to the fact that it needs no prior registration or logging in with a user name and password.

The new service also enables clients to review Dubai Customs' newsletter and provides them with a location map of Dubai Customs centers and outlets. They can also get related information, inquire about cargo systems, and interact with "Sahim" service which was launched by the department earlier last year and aims at enabling all segments of society from interacting with Dubai Customs to report any violations related to Customs work.
