Transforming Government since 2001
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched a new campaign, in partnership with Emirates NBD, as part of its strategy to promote e-Services to increase efficiency, provide best possible services to its customers, and encourage the use of latest technologies.

The campaign aims to encourage customers who debit cards to pay DEWA bills online, through DEWA's mobile phone (mPay) service or the ePay facility on DEWA's website (dewa.gov.ae), which also includes the Auto-Payment feature. The facility is provided in collaboration with Dubai e-Government.

During the campaign customers will qualify for a draw to win 12 Samsung Smart TVs by using Emirates NBD debit cards to pay DEWA bills by ePay or mPay, valid from 1 June to 31 August, 2013.

"The campaign is part of our continuous efforts to raise awareness about our e-Services and m-Services. It provides to our customers an easy and efficient way to pay their bills, and is part of our strategy to switch to full electronic operations. The campaign encourages our customers to use their Emirates NBD debit cards to pay for their bills quickly and efficiently," said Marwan Bin Haider, CIO and VP-IT Division at DEWA.

"Driving e-Commerce on debit cards has always been a priority at Emirates NBD, and we have launched several initiatives to encourage debit card usage for e-payments, including being the pioneers in opening up debit card BINs (Bank Identification Numbers) for online transactions," said Saif Al Mansoori, Deputy Head-Group Marketing and Branding at Emirates NBD.

"We are pleased to collaborate with DEWA and VISA, to offer our customers the convenience of paying their utility bills online using their Emirates NBD Debit Cards, ensure greater security of such transactions through the Double-Secure authentication based on the Verified by Visa protocol, and provide them opportunities to win a Samsung Smart TV every week," added Al Mansoori
