Transforming Government since 2001

Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), the government entity in charge of Abu Dhabi’s ICT agenda and operational framework, hosted an interactive workshop for 24 of its government partners recently, as it gears up to take part in the Gitex Technology Week.

The ADSIC addressed all aspects of the emirate’s e-Government presence at the leading annual ICT event under the theme ‘Towards a Digital Abu Dhabi.’

The officials delivered a comprehensive presentation on all aspects of the upcoming participation, including logistics, operations and marketing, while providing a platform for open discussion with its partners in order to ensure desirable outcomes and optimal results.

Through a year-on-year increase and enhancement of Abu Dhabi’s digital offerings, the 24 participating entities will showcase the latest systems, applications, devices and other platforms that are streamlined under one cohesive ICT strategy lead by ADSIC and mandated by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council.

These digital offerings have been developed to improve the overall performance of the local government, by providing seamlessly convenient, business-friendly, secure and added value e-platforms, with innovation being a key driver for their development.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Government partner’s workshop, Rashid Lahej Al Mansoori, director general at ADSIC, said: “It’s a great honour to be in presence of our partners today for the fourth year running, as we prepare to unite our efforts and mark another memorable presence at this year’s edition of Gitex Technology Week.”

“Building on the notable successes of our previous participations, we are looking forward to showcasing the key milestones and major achievements of the various Abu Dhabi government entities, which are fully committed to effective, well-planned digital transformation and continual advancement of their service offerings through innovative ICT.”

Al Mansoori went on to say that "this year’s participation in Gitex will witness several special highlights, including an important milestone towards achieving further integration of the capital’s digital data-driven avenues, which builds on the new and enhanced Government strategy that was announced during the sixth edition of the Abu Dhabi e-Government Forum last June, and aims to better serve the evolving needs of all citizens and residents.”

Equipped with state-of-the art software, meeting rooms, interactive areas and other special features, the 1,591-sq-m Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion has been envisaged to generate sizable interest and draw a host of local, regional and international delegations and visitors interested in exploring the wide range of digital offerings and advancements in the UAE’s capital.
