As part of its main strategy in rendering the best and updated level of services, Ajman Police launched a new service offering smart cheques notification, 107 of which were lately logged in by banks.
Brigadier Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdallah Al Nuaimi, Police in Chief of Ajman Police, said that the new service comes as part of the ambitious plan of the Ministry of Interior to transfer all services into an e-government that will ensure fast efficient services offered to clients and saving the number of clients visiting the services centre.
“The launch of the service will lead to 80 per cent reduction in the number of clients visiting service centers – thus completing transactions in less time. It takes only five minutes to accomplish a notification for cheques which previously would take hours and days.”
Major Ghaith Al Kaabi, Director of Al Nuaimiya Police Station, said that launching the new service is conducted in various phases. The first phase targets all 27 banks operating in Ajman. They will inform them about the procedures and the benefits of the new service and they will be trained in the ways of receiving and lodging complaints electronically through the police application.
“The step will help in reducing the number of clients wishing to lodge complaints as they will conduct it efficiently through the e service offered.
“We have lately received 107 notifications from banks.”
Al Kaabi added that the second phase will include contracting and insurance and finance companies, hotels and car renting companies.
The third phase will be conducted at a later time.
