A visiting delegation from the United Nations Development Programme in Jordan lauded the e-Government initiative of Dubai Municipality which has made government services easily accessible for the city's residents.

The delegation, headed by Lutfi AbdulRahim, Director of programme, and consists of Fathi Mahmood, Jehad Abdullah Attar, and Omar Mahmood Al Beitar, was briefed on the e-Services being provided by the Municipality to its clients. AbdulRahim said the Jordanian team's visit comes in the wake of a government decision to benefit from the Arab expertise, particularly in the field of e-Governance.

'Dubai is regarded as one of the best in the world when it comes to making use of the e-government technology. It leads Arab cities by taking the e-Government initiative much ahead of its counterparts,' he noted.

Ahmed Hashem Bahrouzyan, Head of e-Government Services Section at the Municipality, made a presentation on the different online services offered by Dubai Municipality to its clients.
