Transforming Government since 2001
Federal Government yesterday inaugurated the Board of Directors to oversee the activities of the National e-Government Strategies Limited (NeGSt). The board is chaired by the Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Prof. Ajayi.

Inaugurating the board in Abuja, Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Turner Isoun, noted that NeGSt has within a short time, been able to help increase productivity, institutional transparency, accountability, and efficiency resulting in unprecedented and radical economic and technological growths. President Olusegun Obasanjo launched the first National e-Government stakeholder's forum on March 8 2004. The strategy is to apply ICT to government processes so that transparency, accountability, efficiency and productivity are enhanced.

Addressing the new board, Isoun reminded them that NeGSt is positioned to bring about radical attitudinal change that will positively impact not just in governance but also on Nigerians as a whole. "
