The Ministry of Communications and Information Society (MCSI) have started, via “Romania Digitala” National Center (CNRD), a project in value of 20.5 million lei, in European funds, destined to the integration of eGuvernare services into the National Electronic System (SEN), the ministry informs in a press release.

The project called “Platform for eGuvernare services integration into SEN” has two major components: Electronic single point of contact – PCU and One-stop-shop – OSS. The programme value is 20.5 million lei, and is based on European funds within the Operation 3.2.1. – “Support implementation of e-government solutions and providing broadband connection, where necessary”.

According to MCSI, the project is going to be implemented within the upcoming nine months by a consortium formed of Teamnet International, Software Development and Consulting and C.P. The electronic PCU, which implements Services Directive No. 2006/123/EC of the European Parliament, will allow total access to information and is to offer the possibility to service providers in the country and from abroad to get online the necessary authorization.

OSS component, addressed to citizens, implements a virtual unique office aimed at the unification, reduction and transposition into electronic format of the administrative procedures.

According to official data, published mid-June this year, by MCSI, a number of 12,607 public institutions were registered with SEN by June 21, 3.6 percent up compared to January, representing 12,165 public institutions and 1 percent more than in May, namely 12,478 institutions. SEN, together with the Electronic Procurement System (SEAP), are managed and operated by the National Center for Information Society Management (CNMSI), under MCSI control.
