The Arab Technology Awards recognize the outstanding work of private and public sector companies in the field of information technology in the Gulf region.
Receiving the award at the gala event held at Armani Hotel in Dubai last Monday, e-TP Director Abdullah Al-Khedher said winning the award again amid fierce competition “speaks volumes about e-TP successes and achievements.”
The event was attended by more than 300 leading IT professionals.
“This achievement is the outcome of a collective teamwork,” said Al-Khedher, who dedicated the award to Fehied Al-Shareef, governor of the SWCC, for his “unwavering support,” and to the entire team at the e-TP Program.
The e-TP, which won the same award in the year 2008, was launched five years ago as part of the Saudi e-government project. The e-TP prepares the corporation for a post-privatization era, according to Al Khedher.
“The e-TP is fully in line with the senior management’s strategic decision to introduce the latest technology,” he said.
SWCC was the first Saudi government body to implement systems such as the Enterprise Asset Management, the largest application in the Middle East, in addition to the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) that includes the Financial System, Supply Chain and Human Capital Management Systems.
