
Syria’s Minister of Local Administration and Environment Mohamad Anjrani and his accompanying delegation reviewed advanced experiences in smart cities and digital transformation during an official visit to Saudi Arabia.
The delegation was briefed on the work of NHC Innovation, the technical and innovation arm of the National Housing Company (NHC), according to a statement posted on the ministry’s Telegram on Tuesday.
The visit included a presentation on the company’s role in developing and operating more than 400 digital services across 10 platforms serving around 19 million users.
Officials also reviewed the “Balady” platform as a model for digitalizing municipal services and facilitating procedures for individuals and businesses, in addition to the “Balady Plus” application, which uses 3D mapping and real-time data to improve quality of life and support smart city management.
Anjrani stressed the importance of such experiences in building sustainable, data-driven communities, expressing interest in enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in digital transformation and municipal services.
NHC Innovation, established in 2025, develops and operates smart digital platforms aimed at improving efficiency in the real estate and municipal sectors and enhancing quality of life through advanced technological solutions.
