Koinange said teachers should be well-equipped in ICT to teach pupils how to use computers.
Richard Kimani, the director of ICT-based teaching and information management at Inoorero University, said he has developed and tested ICT syllabuses.
Kimani sold the idea of how computers can work in enhancing child education to the Jubilee coalition.
He conducted the education officials induction.
"I tried the technology in schools at West Pokot. We used solar panels to power up laptops. I developed a software of the school syllabus, the idea is workable and efficient," Kimani said.
Koinange said he will revive the education standards in his constituency which have gone down due to poor infrastructure.
"Starting Friday, I will inspect all the schools to asses what needs to be done so I can start renovating and making learning environments conducive for pupils and students," he said.
Koinange said his constituency was left without a boys' school after it was split into two.
He, however, added that he has made Thimbigua high a boys's school and is pushing for the same with Karuri High School.
Koinange promised to put up more schools.
He said he will set up polytechnics for the youth.
"The youth are addicted to illicit brews, especially men. My constituency has made headlines with young men losing sight and some dying after consuming these brews. I will establish polytechnics to get rid of idleness and teach them technical skills," Koinange said.
