The four - Marsabit, Nandi, Vihiga and Lamu counties - now enjoy among others, Orange's Broadband Virtual Private Network (BVPN) solution that keeps clients connected with their workers anywhere, anytime and allows them to transfer data with ultimate ease, speed and without interruption.
This brings the total number of counties on its network to 31.
Company Chief Executive Officer, Mickael Ghossein, reiterated the company's keenness in delivering high speed broadband internet to all parts of the country.
“Among the other areas we can support the County governments include e-Security, optimised Revenue Management and optimised County Resource Management, Business Continuity Management, robust public transport and fleet management, call centres as well as bringing about a high level of efficiency to e-health services, education and agriculture,” said Ghossein.
Ghossein adds that the connections to the County Governors' offices and County Assemblies were the initial phases of interactions with the counties, as the business worked on more opportunities to partner with the devolved governments.
“Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) hold great potential to transform the counties, more so now as the government looks into improving the overall service delivery efficiencies by way of this resource.”
