Azerbaijan plans to establish the level of harmful impact of ICT on the environment within the framework of state program "Electronic government".
According to communications minister Ali Abbasov, an international association founded for these ends is to tackle problems of policy formulation to determine the level of ICT adverse effect on the environment.
"As Azerbaijan is one of the 34 countries which are the Association’s members, within the state program on e-Government the country’s government will define the level of harm caused by substances generated by ICT, as well as establish the level of harm caused to human health by radio engineering, and in general, solve the problem of electronic pollution," the minister said.
