In the course of the presentation Committee’s deputy chairman Rafig Jalilov has said that the main purpose of the info system is to create a unified and transparent database of addresses, data collection and regular updating, as well as creation of conditions for the system use by state-run institutions and citizens.
"Under the presidential decree from 10 February 2012 on the amendments to the Address Register Rules it was analyzed the present situation in the country, studied experience and standards of advanced countries and a decision on application of these standards in Azerbaijan was taken," Jalilov said.
The winner of the tender for development of address register info system became SK C&C Co.LTD.
"In the future, all the country’s governmental agencies connected to e-government portal will be able to use effectively the information system of address register,” Jalilov said.
