The Information Technology Centre of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies has launched a new platform of the "Electronic Government" mobile authentication portal - e-Gov.Identity, the centre told Trend.
The e-Gov.Identity platform, connected with the subscriber’s phone number, is a login and password, or e-signature used for an access to e-gov.az.
It was originally planned to create only an identifier for the access to e-services and different payment resources such Hesab.az or ASAN Pay. Then a decision was taken to supplement e-Gov.Identity by the e-signature. This made the mobile identification platform even more functional. Thus, it is possible to sign electronic documents.
The new platform does not require a card reader. Its use does not require Sim-card replacement. It is enough to register on the e-gov.az portal, get a login and password, or use an existing e-signature.
The activation is carried out by SMS. Afterwards, a special identification number will be sent to a user. Then the user can change it.
The users will be also provided with a service that allows getting a safe access to various e-services and carrying out the e-document signing operations.
A new certification center will be created to serve e-Gov.Identity mobile identification platform.
