The Polish Presidency of the European Union and the European Commission are organising in close co-operation the sixth Ministerial eGovernment Conference, entitled "Borderless eGovernment Services for Europeans". During the conference, key European eGovernment decision makers will meet in Poland to talk about the future of eGovernment.

Key European eGovernment decision makers will meet in Poznań (Poland) to talk about the future of eGovernment. European Ministers responsible for eGovernment will hold an Informal Ministerial Meeting, where they will exchange views on the future of Borderless Services, the development of the Large Scale Projects, the Connecting Europe Facility and other key issues related to the development and up-take of eGovernment services in Europe. The "Borderless eGovernment Services for Europeans" conference will be celebrated on 17-18 November 2011. The European Council supports eGovernment services, as it was agreed during its meeting held in May 2011.

Member States will be invited to join one of four smaller debates, each discussing a different topic of high political relevance. The proposed topics to be discussed are the mutual recognition and acceptance of electronic identification (eID), authentication and e-signatures across borders; cross border eGovernment services; the sustainability of the European Large Scale Pilots; and the interoperability strategies in Member States.

The Informal Ministerial Meeting will be a part of the 6th European Ministerial eGovernment Conference, which will attract 900 stakeholders from around the world: ministers from EU Member States, officials from national, regional and local administrations, industry representatives, civil society and experts. 35 Ministers from EU Member States, candidate and EFTA countries will be invited to participate. Mr. Jerzy Miller - Polish Minister of the Interior and Administration will attend the event together with Mrs. Neelie Kroes - Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Digital Agenda and Mr. Maroš Šefčovič - Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration.
