Director of the Central Apparatus for Information Technology in Kuwait, Abdullatif Al-Serayea, told reporters here on the sidelines of a GCC meeting on e-government and IT, that the meeting would result in ideas that would be further probed into in another meeting set for next March.
He emphasized that the meeting today would deal with ways to enhance establishing a GCC e-government network, noting that Kuwait and some of the other GCC states have achieved with varying degrees of success a modicum of linking various government ministries and agencies through an e-government network. In Kuwait, he pointed out, up to 56 such agencies have been linked and more are in the pipeline for the future.
Besides, he said that the official Kuwaiti government portal offers its users 830 e-services.
