The Albanian government's one-stop-shop for commercial licenses will expand from the capital of Tirana to the regions, USAID said in a statement.

The National Licensing Center (NLC) and National Registration Center (NRC) signed an accord that will allow existing NRC service windows to process business licenses, initially in Korça, Shkodër and Vlora.

“We commend the cooperation between the NLC and NRC, and encourage it as an excellent model of the kind of cost-effective, cross-institutional synergy that is needed to provide more efficient and transparent government services to businesses in Albania”, USAID (albania.usaid.gov) resentative Sean Huff told the signing ceremony.

NLC and NRC were established with support of the US, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and administered by USAID as e-government initiatives to save investors time in establishing businesses, increase transparency, and reduce corruption.
