The Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, is travelling tonight (Thursday) to Tallinn, Estonia, where, in his capacity as Chairman of the e-Government Council, he will participate tomorrow morning in the deliberations of the e-Government High-Level Conference organized by the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
At the Conference, the relevant EU Ministers for eGovernment issues will sign the Tallinn eGovernment Declaration, which provides the commitment of the member states to stepping up their efforts to modernize the public service, with specific actions. At the same time, they will also take part in the informal Ministerial Meeting to discuss good practices implemented in each country in the field of e-Government.
Minister Lakkotrypis will return to Cyprus on Saturday, 7 October.
