The children’s identity document is a free, official document with biometric elements, making it impossible to falsify, which also identifies the child’s parents or tutors, guaranteeing security and legal and juridical identity for those under 18.
In order to issue the document, the Interior Secretariat, in conjunction with the governments of all the states, is visiting all the elementary schools in the country to obtain the necessary information.
Through these actions, Federal Government confirms its commitment to fully guaranteeing the entire population’s right to identity and to obtain safe, swift access to the various procedures and services provided by the Mexican government.
