British Transport Police has chosen a new penalty notice enforcement system.
Following the national roll-out of the government’s Penalty Notices for Disorder scheme, for which Northgate is the approved supplier, BTP will become the latest force to fully implement the Northgate Information Solutions Enforcement Solution (NES).
BTP had participated in the pilot phase of the Penalty Notice for Disorder scheme, but the notices issued were processed by another force. To support its commitment to public safety and reassurance, and an increased visibility on Britain’s railways, the force will take over the management of the penalty notices it issues from January 2006.
Northgate will provide:
- a force-wide software license for NES;
- an effective hardware platform;
- full installation services;
- ongoing maintenance.
