Huntingdonshire is using Publisher to consult on its Core Strategy preferred options, which were launched at the end of June. Michael Bingham, Development Plans Manager, said: A key benefit for us has been the ability to produce a web-based version of the Core Strategy very easily, and to handle comments electronically. Limehouse worked hard to deliver the consultation module to a very tight timescale, and were pleased to be the first to put it to the test its another step on the road towards meeting e-government targets.
The online consultation is another first for the authority, which was also the first to accept online planning applications through the Planning Portal.
Colin Mackenzie, Managing Director of Limehouse Software, said: We are delighted to help Huntingdonshire District Council engage in meaningful consultation with their stakeholders. Electronic consultation can provide an enhanced experience for consultees where they can see that their comments have been received, share them with other consultees and track the outcome of those comments while easing the administrative burden of the authority.
We have developed the Consultation module to meet the needs of Huntingdonshire District Council, along with the needs of our other customers, and look forward to enhancing the solution to continue to meet evolving e-government targets.
