  • E-government portal to be launched in Azerbaijan soon

    E-government portal will be launched in Azerbaijan in the near future, deputy minister of communications and IT Elmir Valizadeh said.

    To him, 8 state agencies have already been integrated into the e-government portal and this number increases. “At present time, several state agencies increases the variety of e-services and all state agencies are expected to be integrated into the portal soon. Our main purpose is to establish mutual relations between the organizations. Common standards, regulations, technologies are considered to apply in this regard”.

  • E-health cards number increases in Azerbaijan

    The number of electronic health cards issued by the Health Ministry to the parents of newborns in the first half of 2015 increased by 13.5 percent compared to the beginning of the year.

    The Center for Health Information under the Health Ministry reported that the number of e-health cards issued in January-June 2015 has increased by 115,372, reaching 970,687 items.

    In addition, in the first half of the year, the Ministry has issued 2,391 e-cards to patients who receive free medicines, bringing the total to 69,759 patients.

  • E-payment of fees for transactions on securities started in Azerbaijan

    The Azerbaijani State Securities Committee has established a system of automated electronic services and integrated it into the 'Electronic Government' (ehdis.az) portal, the committee said on Monday.

    The committee has ensured the paying of fees in e-form in real time, as well as security of transactions and individual data as continued operations to execute the presidential decree as of May 23, 2011 on .'Some measures in the sphere of rendering electronic government services', the report said.

  • E-Recipe system to be applied in Azerbaijan

    Until 2015, all hospitals and drug stores in Azerbaijan will be electronic, Health Ministry's health informatization centre head Jabrayil Asadzade has told Gun.Az.

    He noted that the Health Ministry's strategy until 2015 also envisages developing the electronic recipe system.

  • E-services for cargo transportation introduced in Azerbaijan

    By the end of this year, Azerbaijan Railways JSC plans to complete the introduction process of e-services in the field of cargo transportation, the deputy head of Azerbaijan Railways JSC Gurban Nazirov said on Friday during a presentation of the new updated version of the company's official website.

    According to him, e-services in particular will provide the possibility of determining the disposition and location of freight carriages in the entire railway network.

  • E-services introduced by State Committee for Property Issues in Azerbaijan

    The State Committee on Property Issues has today started the application of e-services, it will eliminate negative cases, said chairman of the Committee Karam Hasanov.

  • Eight state bodies connected to e-government portals in Azerbaijan

    A collegial session has been held at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies.

    According to sources in the Ministry, the session drafted the rules and sample administrative regulation to coordinate issues related to provision of e-services, defined the list of e-services to be provided. It was stated that this list has been submitted to the Cabinet.

    It was noted that eight state bodies already use e-services and measures are taken to connect them to e-government portals.

  • Electronic Water Portal launched in Azerbaijan

  • Exchange license and 4 types of services in Azerbaijan to be provided in e-form

    By Order #4 Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev approved the Administrative Regulations of e-services provided by the Ministry of Economic Development

    The Order endorsed the regulations of granting a special permit (license) for the exchange activity and the collection, processing and marketing of non-ferrous metal waste, including precious metals and stones; administrative registration of grant agreements of commercial legal entities; administrative regulations of provision of a certificate of origin; administrative regulations of provision of a certificate of quality of exported goods. Enforcement of regulations is assigned to chief of the Ministry’s General Department Rovshan Atashov.

    Communications & IT Minister Ali Abbasov informs that last year investments in ICT development totaled $415 million.

  • Foreigners benefit from mobile e-signatures in Azerbaijan

    Foreign nationals were granted an opportunity to obtain the mobile digital signature "ASAN imza" in Azerbaijan from July 8.

    Official distribution of "ASAN-imza" signatures started in May.

    The first ASAN Service center, which successfully ensures unified and coordinated provision of services by state bodies, was established under the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan in January.

  • Foreigners entering Azerbaijan by e-visa will use e-services - Minister

    In the coming year, Azerbaijan will introduce the system of issuing electronic visas to citizens of foreign countries.

    The statement came from Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev at an event held on the occasion of the World Tourism Day.

  • Foreigners, stateless persons may extend stay in Azerbaijan online

    Foreigners and stateless people willing to extend their stay in Azerbaijan for more than 10 days can register at their place of residence through the e-government portal e-gov.az, the Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies said July 11.

    DPC said the e-service called “Receipt of Documents for Registration by Place of Residence" is now available in the e-government portal services provided by the Azerbaijani Migration Service.

  • Free Internet access demanded from Azerbaijani government

    Azerbaijani NGOs suggest organizing in the country a specific market of free access to Internet services.

    E-government expert Alasgar Mammadli says that today Internet service cost is 12-13% of citizen’s average monthly wage.

  • ICT development strategy submitted to Azerbaijani gov't

    The Azerbaijan Communications and Information Technologies Ministry submitted a new strategy for the ICT development in 2013-2020 to the government.

    The news was announced by Isfandiyar Aliyev, Head of Strategic Development Department at the Ministry on November 12.

    Adoption of the new document is expected by the year-end, he said.

  • In 2008 WBG to endorse E-Government Project in Azerbaijan

    he Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies (MCIT) of Azerbaijan is starting E-Government Project of World Bank Group in Azerbaijan.

    Communications minister Ali Abbasov informed that e-government project negotiations with WBG have been conducted.

    “The Bank has already given its preliminary consent on project realization,” the minister said.
