  • One more public legal entity created in Azerbaijan

    Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on development of e-government and shift to digital government, APA reports.

    According to the decree, State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan is to carry out state policy and regulation in e-government, function as coordinating body for formation, integration and effective management of state information reserves, provide management and activity of E-government portal, take necessary measures on its improvement, organize exchange of information between information systems and information reserves of state bodies and provision of e- services through E-government portal, as well as take measures for development of government to business and business to government e-services and prepare draft Action Plan on Shift to Digital Government and submit to the president of Azerbaijan.

  • Only every second potential client uses e-services of Azerbaijan’s Pension Fund

    The State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan has summed up the next results of the interactive poll of the public conducted at its official website.

    According to the Fund, the poll showed that 57.27% of the visitors use the website (www.sspf.gov.az, www.dsmf.gov.az) for e-services, and 42.73% do not do that.

  • Over 3.000 of individual entrepreneurs passed on line registration in Azerbaijan

    Tax Ministry of Azerbaijan has announced the number of individual entrepreneurs passing on line registration.

    The Ministry reports that altogether 3271 individuals engaged in entrepreneurship activity without creating legal entity have been registered since 1 July, start of on line registration.

    Earlier head of Commercial legal entities state registration department of Tax Department of Baku Nigar Alimova told that introduction of individuals’ on line registration in Azerbaijan is one of e-government’s directions and the most important innovation after introduction of single window system.

  • Patent governance system automated in Azerbaijan

    The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents is conducting patent digitalization, e-governance application, and e-services for intellectual property rights registration and protection, the committee said on Monday.

    According to the information, the project is being carried out within the grant agreement on the intellectual property rights automation control system signed between the committee and the Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry of the Republic of Korea on October 11, 2011.

  • Payment of duties for securities transactions in Azerbaijan becomes possible in online regime

    The State Securities Committee of Azerbaijan continues developing e-services and integration of its own system with portal e-Government.

    According to the Committee, in this regard the SSC provided an opportunity of e-payment of state duties in real time regime. At the same time it was ensured safety of transactions and personal information.

  • Post affiliates launch e-services in Azerbaijan

    New projects are implemented in Azerbaijan for raising the quality of postal services by Azerpocht.

    According to sources from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, e-postal services are also among them.

    This service will help the prompt delivery of a letter from one address to another.

  • President calls for Azerbaijan’s transition to e-govt

    President Ilham Aliyev has called on the IT ministry to develop concrete measures in the provision of e-services by government agencies in Azerbaijan.

    Aliyev tasks the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies to accelerate the interaction with other government agencies regarding the transition to e-government, the Deputy Minister Iltimas Mammadov said.

    “The transition to e-government does not mean the transition of only one ministry or department. Each department must prepare a related infrastructure for the introduction of e-services to further ensure their connection to a single e-government portal,” he said.

In this context, establishment of ASAN service, an innovative new agency aiming to make services more accessible for citizens, and application of other advanced services has been of critical importance. Introduction of a biometric passport is one of such significant steps.

  • President: Azerbaijan preparing for launch of next telecommunication satellite

    Launch of first telecommunication satellite into orbit in 2013 is one of Azerbaijan’s technical achievements during its independency. Now, we’re preparing for launch of the next satellite, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in his letter to the participants of the Bakutel 2017, the 23rd Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference.

  • Prior to 1 July 2013 Azerbaijan to launch 300 state e-services

    The Multimedia Centre is conducting today in Baku roundtable "Transition to electronic public services: current situation & prospects".

    At the meeting Elchin Mammadov, representative of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, has said that until the end of 2011 the country will put into operation a single portal of e-government services.

  • Project on ICT modernization in Azerbaijan to enter next stage

    The next step of the project on “Modernization of Sustainability and Efficiency of ICT Infrastructure and Services in Azerbaijan” will start soon.

    This will be possible thanks to agreement reached between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan and the country’s Ministry of Communications and High Technologies 8.

  • Public services to be integrated in e-government portal in Azerbaijan by late 2014

    The services of state agencies represented on the "electronic government" portal will be integrated by late 2014, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Iltimas Mammadov said, at the public presentation of the information national space system on Feb. 19.

    "This will further enhance the ability to render services to the population," he said.

    "The state agencies attach great importance to the development of electronic services," he said. As of 2013, some 735,000 people used 318 services available on the portal."

  • Regional e-Government Training and Resource Centre launched in Azerbaijan

    Knowledge creation and transfer on e-governance and e-democracy is one of the main objectives of the Regional e-Government Training and Resource Centre that was launched last week in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.

    The project, under which the Centre was created, is one of UNESCO’s and UNDP’s collective efforts to support the implementation of the Azerbaijan Government commitments made during a recent visit of the Director-General of UNESCO to this country.

  • Science Development Fund under President of Azerbaijan to finance ICT projects

    The Science Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan has allocated one million manats for financing competitive projects in the sphere of information and communication technologies (ICT), the Fund's Executive Director Elchin Babayev said on Thursday at a conference in Baku.

    According to Babayev, the competition is being held jointly with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. This is included in the plan of events approved in 2013 in connection with declaring this year as an ICT one.

  • SINAM completes e-government project in Kyrgyzstan

    Azerbaijan's SINAM has completed a project on creation of the e-archive of the documents of the Department of Cadaster and Registration of the Rights for Immovable Property of the State Registration Service under the government of Kyrgyzstan.

    According to sources in the Information center on ICT, the project which was launched in early 2012, is the last stage within the creation of the Automated Registration System for the Department of Cadaster of Registration of Rights for Immovable Property under the State Registration Service of Kyrgyzstan.

  • Since early 2012 Azerbaijan issued 265 certificates of digital signature

    From the very start of issue of electronic digital signature (EDS) the Computer Information Center (CIC) of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology has issued 3,242 e-signatures.

    According to statistics, the CIC National Certification Center issued 265 EDS certificates to businesses and individuals in January.

    176 out of 419 state e-services are available at portal E-Government.

  • Single portal of e-government offered to be created in Azerbaijan

    The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies points out necessity to create single portal of the (e-government).

    Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said that activation of application of information technologies in education, rendering of electronic services to taxpayers, automation of process in customs and migratory services, public health, retirement insurance, admission of students was observed over 2009.

  • Single window system to be created to register real estate in Azerbaijan

    The services of the Azerbaijani State Committee on State Property Management will be integrated into "single window" system, deputy chairman of the State Committee Rafiq Jalilov told media today.

    The electronic real estate registration project has been presented in Baku today.

    "This will allow citizens to receive comprehensive services in on-line mode without visiting the relevant agencies," Jalilov said.

  • Staff shortage prevents development of information technologies in Azerbaijan

    Rufat Gulmammadov, the director of the Information Society Department of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies, said that among the problems preventing realization of the State E-Government Programme are lack of personnel and non-readiness of the society.

    “For successful implementation of the Programme there should be achieved progress on all of its components and for that it is needed to prepare society for these processes,” Gulmammadov.

  • State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under President established in Azerbaijan

    Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the establishment of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the Azerbaijani President on July 13.

    The State Agency will be established to increase transparency in the activity of state bodies, render better services to citizens by using new methods and modern innovations, adhere to ethical rules and courteous treatment towards citizens, improve rendered services and accelerate the transition to electronic services.
