    This year at GITEX 2014, 22 Abu Dhabi government entities will join together to display the latest in IT offerings from the Emirate. Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), the government entity in charge of Abu Dhabi’s ICT agenda, has been charged by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council with hosting the entities on one stand delivering an experience for GITEX visitors that will show the depth and breadth of Abu Dhabi’s digital offering.

    Under the banner of “Towards a Digital Abu Dhabi”, the 22 government organisations will display their latest apps and software offerings that make life in the Emirate more convenient, safer and increasingly business-friendly for residents and citizens alike.

    Under the theme, “Towards a Digital Abu Dhabi’, twenty-two Abu Dhabi Government entities will showcase their latest innovative IT solutions, product apps and software offerings at GITEX 2014. Many of these apps have been designed specifically to strengthen customer service and enhance the customer experience.

    Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) will host the twenty-two entities in a dedicated stand as they introduce their value-added, customer-driven solutions that have been designed to make life in the UAE’s capital more convenient, safer and increasingly business friendly for citizens and residents alike.

    In recognition of its efforts in implementing Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) and driving the cooperative use of geospatial information across a wide range of Government entities in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi e-Government was the inaugural recipient of the first-ever "2015 Smart Government Award" launched by the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) User Conference, held in San Diego, California in the United States on 20th - 21st July.

    Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), the government entity responsible for the emirate's ITC agendarecently marked one year since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre 800555 in Al Ain on 16 February 2015.

    Launched at the beginning of 2014 in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council and the private sector, the Contact Centre Centre aims at effectively linking Government and individuals andenhancing customer and public service quality throughout the UAE's capital by centralizing a large range of Government services through one streamlined electronic communication channel.

    ADSIC's Al-Mansoori highlighted that Abu Dhabi’s recently launched CityGuard mobile app is a fine example of a user-centric mobile app that provides efficient services to the public by leveraging integration between different e-Government platforms to provide efficient public services.

    At Gitex 2013, 12 Abu Dhabi government entities will come together to display their services on a combined stand hosted by Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC).

    Twelve Abu Dhabi government entities will display their services on a combined stand hosted by Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) at Gitex.

    ADSIC, the government entity in charge of Abu Dhabi’s ICT agenda, has revealed its plan for showcasing the emirate’s futuristic e-services and solutions at the upcoming event to be held on October 20-24 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The presence of Abu Dhabi’s e-government services this year includes a single stand of 350 square metres, which is six times bigger than the previous year.

    In order to enhance the quality and speed of services provided to customers, Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre officially launched, the Abu Dhabi Government contact center 800555, where 100% of workforce are Emiratis; a major milestone in the Emiratization policies adopted by the Abu Dhabi Government.

    The event was attended by HE Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre (ADSIC), the government entity responsible for the supervision of ICT agenda in Abu Dhabi and H.E. Ali Rashed Al Ketbi, Chairman at Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council (ADTC). Upon concluding the press conference, the executives conducted a tour to showcase its innovative facilities to the media.

    GITEX Technology Week 2021 is a global platform for innovation, cooperation and future foresight

    Under the theme "Government of The Future", the Abu Dhabi Government is participating in GITEX Technology Week 2021 for the tenth time and is showcasing 100 innovative digital initiatives and projects with the aim of creating a unique experience for all visitors through a unified platform for all government entities.

    31 government and academic entities are present at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion, and their participation comes as the UAE celebrates its 50th anniversary, as the nation celebrates its remarkable journey over the last 50 years and begins preparing for the next 50.

    ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’ available through TAMM portal, aims to accelerate e-government services

    Payments for all types of government services will now be made available online through ‘Abu Dhabi Pay’, as the emirate looks to accelerate its digital transformation.

    The platform, launched by the Department of Government Support, will be accessible through the TAMM portal, offering customers a secure and standardised way of making digital payments for all government services across different channels. Customers will also benefit from multiple safe payment options, one time payments for multi party services and a unified experience across all government channels.

    New system designed to serve industry, commerce, tourism, agriculture and investment

    In the fast moving industry for economic development, the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the information Economic Centre launched an electronic data base system that will serve industry, commerce, tourism, agriculture and investment in the country which represents a fundamental axis of the national economy.

    The Economic Data Base System (DBS) was inaugurated and established in the presence of the Nasser Al Suwaidi, Director of Licensing Department of the Ministry of Economy and the Director of the Emirates Media Centre Mohammad Al Hosni.

  • AE: Abu Dhabi launches online career fair

    The Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) has launched an online jobs fair that will enable candidates interact with recruiters via Internet-based chat, voice and video conferencing facilities.

    Organised by Jobs Abu Dhabi, an e-government employment initiative, the third Virtual Career Fair (e-Fair) was launched today (June 4), and will run until June 6 at efair.abudhabi.ae. It will be open from 8 am to 4 pm.

    The e-Fair is an online substitute to traditional career fairs that leverages the convenience of the internet to provide an interactive platform for employers and jobseekers.

  • AE: Abu Dhabi Municipality e-services tally grow to 115

    The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has added two more services to the list of its online services through its portal (www.adm.gov.ae), namely Application for Search Certificate on Land Status, and Application for Property Evaluation Certificate.

    Thus, raising the Municipal e-services raise to 115, allowing the public to register and request the services of Town Planning, Infrastructure and Municipal services; making it easier for them to avail themselves of these services wherever and whenever they need it, in an effort to streamline and simplify the procedures and saving time and efforts.

    The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has launched the initial phase of "Makani" service to serve as a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Portal and a focal point of information and spatial data-related assets.

    The Portal is set to provide easy access to a vital pool of information that helps cut short transactions processing time and cost besides eliminating any overlapping or duplication of processes. It also supports taking informed decisions in a speedy '&' dynamic manner using latest technological systems in a process that echoes the Municipality's Mission of delivering top quality, effective and customer-centric services.

    The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has launched a Geospatial Information Management System, GIMS, a sophisticated smart electronic system for soil database that contains all geotechnical, geophysical, hydrological and environmental data, displayed on interactive geological maps.

    The project has been undertaken in the context of the Abu Dhabi Emirate’s vision, a strategic plan designed particularly for the development of Abu Dhabi. It is also intended to complement the Emirate's future vision and establish a modern society and a competitive, sustainable and globally open economy with an advanced and innovative digital system.

  • AE: Abu Dhabi Municipality offers ‘Ardi’ service for identifying land plots

    The Customer Service Division at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has started offering of ‘Ardi’ (My Land) service to furnish individuals with information about the locations of land plots, districts and maps of Abu Dhabi city and conurbation.

    The service is offered via an interactive electronic touch screen offering all information related to zones, land plots, locations and aerial images of the area under investigation. The service offering comes in the context of the Municipality’s Mission of delivering top quality, effective and customer-oriented services standards under a strategy of seeking continuous advancement, and introducing cutting-edge technology capable of enhancing the performance levels and realizing customer needs in a smooth and hassle-free experience built on world-class standards.

  • AE: Abu Dhabi Police GHQ website wins two e-government shield awards

    The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ website (www.adpolice.gov.ae) won two awards as part of the e-government shield award competition, for the best websites, namely; the 'Technical Innovation Award' and the 'Best Strategic Website' in the Security and Military Institutions Category.

    The award is granted by the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility, in partnership with the Arab Web Awards Academy in the Arab Region and Tatweej Academy for quality and excellence.

  • AE: Abu Dhabi Police ICT Department Obtains ISO 20000 Certification

    The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Department of Abu Dhabi Police has obtained the ISO 20000 Management of IT Operations Certification. It is worth mentioning that this is considered to be one of the best international standard certifications for excellence in the field ofIT service management, and is based on (ITIL) standards. The department managed to obtain this accreditation after successfully passing athree-day external audit that was recently conducted by TUV Rheinland and carrying out preparations that lasted for more than a year.

    Colonel Anwar Abdullah Al Mulla, Head of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department of Abu Dhabi Police, noted that obtaining this prestigious certification is a result of the police leadership’s support and guidance. “It also comes in pursuance of Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to implement international best practices. It embodies the effortsmade by the work teams and the department’s employees to achieve leadership and excellence in the provision of services in accordance with the best international practices,” explained Al Mulla.

    The new digital platform aims to boost trade

    Abu Dhabi Ports has launched Maqta Gateway, a digital platform which provides digital services to different entities including shipping agents, traders, freight forwarders, custom brokers among others to boost trade and efficiency.

    The new system was inaugurated in the presence of Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court on Tuesday.

    Abu Dhabi has broken into the world's top 10 smartest cities in a new ranking as the emirate continues with its digital transformation agenda.

    The UAE capital climbed three places from last year to 10th in the Smart City Index 2024 compiled by Switzerland's International Institute for Management Development (IMD), which was released on Tuesday.
