The Ministry of Justice has forwarded two draft bills to the Cabinet — one on the amendment of legislation related to combating corruption and ensuring transparency and another on the completion of the e-government project, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.
Sources clarified Deputy Premier for Legal Affairs, Minister of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Rashid Al-Hammad presented the draft bills. Sources stated the minister is keen on amending the legislation in line with the international requirements and development plan of the government.

The official said the launch of the service is hoped to reduce pressure on the ministry's departments and the number of people seeking their service at peak hours and peak seasons. It would also help avoid expiry of permits and related fines and paper work, which saves time, effort, and expense.
Updating the information systems is one of the major objectives of the ministry, said Dr. Ali Al-Fodari, the advisor of the undersecretary of the ministry, in a statement on the occasion of his participation along with other officials of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health at the e-government services conference that got underway here yesterday -- also with participation of officials from various Kuwaiti departments.
Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Abdulhadi said his ministry was keen on promoting the applications of the electronic health systems at its departments.
