  • Azerbaijan hosts int'l conference on e-government in customs sector

    Gabala hosted the fifth anniversary International Scientific Conference on "E-government: innovations in customs" on Monday. Some 102 representatives from 55 countries attended it.

    The conference was held to discuss the global practice in developing and using the e-government, modern forms of cooperation between public organizations in the field of e-governance, using the information and communication technologies in the field of customs and other areas of the economy, as well as examining the current situation on innovative methods of governance and exchanging the experience in this area.

  • Azerbaijan increases list of documents required for access to e-state services

    The Information & Computing Centre of the Ministry of Communications & IT of Azerbaijan has developed a new system for providing public access to portal "e-government” (ehdis.az).

    According to the Ministry, now to get access to the portal it is necessary to use e-application system for receiving the identification data.

  • Azerbaijan informs European Commission on creation of digital economy

    Having appeared not so long ago, the digital economy has already become one of the main ways through which many entrepreneurs and governments all over the world do their work.

    The term, originated in 1995, refers to an economy that is based on digital computing technologies. In this new type of economy, digital networking and communication infrastructures provide a global platform where people and organizations devise strategies, interact, communicate and collaborate.

  • Azerbaijan introduces e-customs declaration system

    The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan switches to the system of electronic declaration.

    Today in Baku at the III Scientific & Practical Conference "E-Customs Service: A Look into the Future" SCC chairman Aydin Aliyev has claimed that the Committee has already transferred to an e-system of internal documents.

  • Azerbaijan introduces e-mortgage since January 2017

    E-mortgage is under introduction in Azerbaijan in compliance with the Presidential Order on Some Issues of Mortgage Lending.

    Under the Order, the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund has acquired its legal competence through the approval of its Charter, a new procedure for mortgage lending, including subsidized mortgage lending, and new powers concerning the application of e-mortgage system from 1 January 2017 via E-Government portal.

  • Azerbaijan introduces electronic leasing

    Azerbaijan’s state-run leasing company Agroleasing will render its services via the e-government portal at www.e-gov.az.

    This was possible thanks to the changes made to the Cabinet of Ministers decision, dated Nov. 24, to approve the “Rules of e-services on specific fields provided by central executive bodies” and “List of types of e-services”, published Dec. 8 by the official press.

  • Azerbaijan introduces electronic registration of real property since 1 May

    Within application of e-services State Committee for Property Affairs intends to start accepting electronic appeals of the population for real property facilities’ registration since 1 May.

    Today at the presentation of information system of real estate facilities’ electronic registration , Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Rafig Jalilov reported that the Committee started provision of e-services at the site of State Real Property Registry Service from 1 March (emdkdedrx.gov.az).

  • Azerbaijan introduces individual ID numbers of citizens

    The State Program of Expansion of Public E-Services & Development of E-Government 2013-15 (the public hearing on its draft is conducted in Baku today by the State Agency for Citizen Service & Social Innovations and the Ministry of Communications & IT) is capable to change the entire social order in the country.

    The Program, in particular, implies introduction of individual ID numbers for citizens of Azerbaijan. Individual numbers of citizens will be included in the single register of e-services and be an access code to them. The program also focuses on the transfer of all existing public servants in an electronic format.

  • Azerbaijan introduces its IT solutions to Afghanistan

    Azerbaijani IT company will help Afghanistan in creating an addressing system of Kabul.

    SINAM Company has presented technical advice on the project of creating an addressing system of Kabul to the public authority in Afghanistan, the company reported.

    Technical recommendations prepared by the company have been approved by the Municipality of Kabul that introduced them to the higher authorities.

    The Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan keeps on testing of its e-services.

    The Ministry informs that work is underway to improve e-services on wedding.

    Now, for marriage it is sufficient to enter section Civil Status of Ministry’s portal to fill out an e-form of Application for Marriage and confirm this application.

  • Azerbaijan invites bids for creation of e-government infrastructure

    The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan is to create single infrastructure based on high-speed Internet network within the framework of state program e-Government.

    Isbandiyar Aliyev, the director of the Information Society Department of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies, says that network of high-speed Internet Azdatacom will be used as a base of single e-government infrastructure.

    “Azdatacom will be used as basis of infrastructure, but if necessary there can also be involved additional fiber-optic lines,” Aliyev noted.

  • Azerbaijan is among Central and Eastern European countries in terms of applying ICT in education

    Azerbaijan leads CIS for applying ICT in education, Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov said on Wednesday at a presentation of the state e-information system "Student-Graduate" that his country is a regional leader.

    "This occurs on the backdrop of the general development of the ICT sector in the country," Abbasov said. "If to take into account that Internet penetration rate in Azerbaijan hits 65 percent, 30 percent of which accounts for broadband access, this figure is ahead of the world average at 2-2.5 times."

  • Azerbaijan is familiarizing with Latvian experience in “e-government”

    Visit of Azeri delegation consisted of Ministries of Economic Development and Taxes of Azerbaijan in Latvia is finishing today.

    Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan reported that the visit’s main purpose is to familiarize with e-registration system (“single window”) based on the Latvian companies’ experience.

    Azerbaijan is ready to accept items of memorandum on telemedicine proceeding from its interestsAzerbaijan accepts provisions of the memorandum of CIS cooperation in telemedicine only in terms of compliance with all the interests of the country, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies Information Society Development Head Rufat Gulmammadov told media.

    Gulmammadov said that Azerbaijan participates in all actions on this issue. If all the issues meet interests of the Republic, Azerbaijan is ready to take part in these projects.

  • Azerbaijan launches e-mortgage system

    The government of Azerbaijan has launched issuance of mortgage loans in electronic format, starting from August 10.

    The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies reported that for registration, citizens need an electronic signature [E-imza] or ASAN signature [ASAN imza].

  • Azerbaijan launches e-payment of compulsory social insurance contributions

    The Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund has started to receive payments on compulsory social insurance in electronic form, state fund chairman Salim Muslimov told journalists.

    "Insurers will be able to provide statements for the first half and second quarter of the year in an electronic form in July," Muslimov said.

    The software allows to carry out these operations in the on-line-mode. State Fund has received 6205 electronic applications on May 31 in order to provide electronic reporting.

  • Azerbaijan launches e-registration of cash machines

    The Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry is expanding the scope of tax services.

    According to the Ministry, work within the e-registration of cash machines project has been already completed.

    The current project is the next step of the Ministry of Taxes for the development of the entrepreneurship, formation of favorable business climate and facilitation of business registration procedure in the country.

  • Azerbaijan launches e-registration of participants of foreign economic activity

    The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan calls on the participants of foreign economic activity engaged in import-export business, to register on the site of the committee.

    The committee said in a statement issued on Thursday.

    Participants must register on the web page (www.dgk.gov.az) of the committee before September 1.

  • Azerbaijan launches primary version of e-government portal

    The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry has launched the primary version of its e-government portal (ehdis.az), Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov told media today.

    He said that at present, the list of electronic services has been prepared and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

    "We are ready to render about 60 e-services to the population at this portal," he said. "A certain part is delivered via "single window" principle. Besides rendering electronic services to the population, our main goal is to create conditions for citizens to submit their proposals, the requirements for electronic services. This will allow creating new services to meet the needs of the population."

  • Azerbaijan launches real estate e-registration

    The State Property Committee in Azerbaijan begins to provide e-services to the population, the committee said on Tuesday.

    In the first quarter, the committee completed work on the introduction of software and hardware systems.

    The committee's official website has an e-services section, which in the next few days will be fully functional.
