The country's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has completed its migration to full cloud services
The Jordanian Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) has migrated its ICT infrastructure to the cloud, as part of its ongoing digitalisation process.
The MoDEE completed the migration using Nutanix’s enterprise cloud software. The move will help the Jordanian government provide a whole new range of online services to its citizens.

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), launched ‘Toward Digital Jordan’ Committee, one of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF) committees.
The Committee which includes a host of experts in information and communication technology aims at finding the appropriate means for transforming the Jordanian community into a knowledge-based society in addition to boosting economy and developing services offered to citizens.

His Majesty chairs part of Cabinet meeting
His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday highlighted the importance for appointments in the government to be based on competence and expertise, and to be transparent and just.
King Abdullah, during a visit to the Prime Ministry where he chaired part of a Cabinet meeting, directed the government to explain its decisions to citizens and to reconsider any appointment that was not based on transparent and fair procedures, according to a Royal Court statement.

Jordan has ranked 115th among 193 countries on the UN’s 2018 E-Government Development Index, according to a Jordan Strategy Forum (JSF) statement.
In its policy paper on the Kingdom's e-government performance, released on Monday using the UN’s index, the JSF said that the study showed that Jordan ranked above the global average by a large margin from 2004 to 2012. However, since 2012 the Kingdom’s speed of progress has declined, the JSF said.

The Interior Ministry, in cooperation with the ICT, public sector development ministries and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), launched 11 e-services related to visas and residency on Sunday.
At the launching ceremony, Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin said the e-services include issuance and renewal of visit visas, transit visas, leave and return visas and work visas, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
