  • IN: Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu smart city receives award for its e-rickshaw, e-auto project

    The city got the award under urban environment category of India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC)in Indore, Madhya Pradesh

    The central government under its Smart City Mission has felicitated Jammu smart city for its e-mobility project, which includes successful operations of e-autos and e-rickshaws, officials said on Thursday.

  • IN: Jharkhand gets silver medal for e-governance

    Jharkhand received silver medal at the e-governance award ceremony at Jaipur on Monday for exemplary use of ICT-based solutions for the pragya kendra-cum-panchayat bank project for electronic benefit transfer to beneficiaries

    The award was received by Dr Pravin Jha, Special Secretary, Department of Information Technology (IT) on Monday in Jaipur as IT Secretary NN Sinha could not personally receive the award. The awards were given jointly by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Union Minister of State V Narayansami.

  • IN: Karnataka: Bangalore police bags gold award for B-trac project

    Bangalore city police has bagged the gold award for innovative use of technology in e-governance in the implementation of B-trac project, a top police official said today.

    Announcing the award, which is given out by the union Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances department, City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari said, "It is for the first time that a police force in the country has been awarded the Gold award for innovative use of technology for e-governance".

  • IN: Karnataka: Sakala bags e-governance award

    Sakala, the most ambitious project of Karnataka government has been awarded Silver, national award on e-governance, by the government of India. The project headed by IAS officer Shalini Rajneesh was chosen for its "outstanding performance in citizen service delivery, 2013-14."

    It is a scheme under Karantaka Guarantee of Services to Citizens System, bill passed by the Karnataka State Legislature in 2011, to provide guarantee of services to citizens in the State of Karnataka within the stipulated time limit for citizen related services as mentioned in the schedule.

  • IN: Karnataka's 'Sakala' e-governance scheme bags National Award

    The much acclaimed 'Sakala,' e-governance scheme launched by the previous BJP regime and continued by the present Congress government in Karnataka headed by Siddaramaiah has bagged the national award under the category "outstanding performance in citizen centric service delivery" for the year 2013-14.

    Sakala was launched for ensuring time-bound delivery of services for citizens.

    The Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions has in a letter to Shalini Rajneesh, Secretary, DPAR and Mission Director – Sakala, informed that the State has been awarded silver under the category "outstanding performance in citizen centric service delivery" for national award on e-governance.

  • IN: Kashmiri scientist to get national award on e-governance

    Senior Scientist in Department of Environment & Remote Sensing, Humayun Rashid has been chosen for national award on e-Governance project by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances Government of India.

    The National e-Governance Award will be given to Rashid during the proceedings of the National Conference on e-Governance 2013 at Jaipur on February 11.

  • IN: Kerala bags award for e-governance execution

    The state has bagged the 'eINDIA special mention award' for effective implementation of egovernance.

    IT principal secretary P H Kurien received the award from Andhra Pradesh IT and communication minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah at the recent twoday 'eIndia summit' in Hyderabad. The country's largest annual ICT event, eIndia summit 2012, was organized by Elets Technomedia with Andhra Pradesh government as its partner state.

    "e-governance in Kerala has advanced a long way, from computerization of government departments to initiatives that encapsulate the finer points of governance. They include citizen centricity, service orientation and transparency," Kurien told the summit.

  • IN: Kerala bags eIndia Award for effective e-Governance execution

    The Department of IT, Government of Kerala has been chosen for eINDIA 2012 Special Mention Award in the 'ICT for the Pioneer State' category, for effective implementation of e-Governance. The award recognizes the application of Information and Communications Technology to government functioning in order to create smart governance.

    Shri Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for IT & Communication, Government of Andhra Pradesh presented the award to P H Kurian IAS, Principal Secretary to Department of IT, Government of Kerala during the e India summit held at Hyderabad last week.

  • IN: Kerala: E-governance Awards on Wednesday

    Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the awards ceremony honouring various government departments for their performance in e-Governance on Wednesday. The Golden Jubilee e-governance awards has been instituted by Computer Society of India (CSI).

    A jury panel comprising senior industry leaders, consultants and academicians will shortlist organisations for their effective use of Information Communication and Technology (ICT), mobile, social media as well as cloud and innovative technology.

  • IN: Kerala: Government App Receives CSI Valiant e-Governance Award

    Thulasi, an application by Kerala Public Service Commission that enables one-time registration to automate recruitment process for the PSC, was on Wednesday awarded the CSI Valiant e-Governance Award instituted by the Computer Society of India - Trivandrum Chapter.

    The award was instituted by the CSI Trivandrum Chapter on the occasion of its golden jubilee 'to recognise and benchmark e-Governance excellence across various departments under the theme - e-Governance Excellence for the Benefit of Common Man'.

  • IN: Madhya Pradesh urban admn and development dept gets e-governance award

    The Urban Administration and Development department (UADD) has bagged the national e-governance award in "Gold" category for implementation of an innovative software system that ensures transparency in scrutinising building plans, in Indore Municipal Corporation.

    The award was given by Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India, during the national e-governance conference held recently at Kochi in Kerala, an official release said today.

  • IN: Madhya Pradesh: BHEL Bhopal gets e-governance award

    Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been conferred with the prestigious national e-governance gold award by the Union government for 2012-13 at a function held recently. The award was given in the category - 'innovative use of ICT by PSUs for customer benefits', for the project 'integrated system for online generation of electrical specifications for transformers', developed by informatics centre (IFX), BHEL, Bhopal.

    Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot in presence of V Narayanasamy, Union minister of state (MoS) of personnel and public grievances and pensions and MoS at the Prime Minister's office, presented the awards.

  • IN: Madhya Pradesh: Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation receives National E-Governance Award

    The award was given by union minister Dr Jitendra Singh and Minister of Science and Technology Om Prakash Sakhlecha.

    Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation has received National e-Governance Award 2023 for employing modern SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system for water supply. The award function was held in Indore on Friday.

  • IN: Madhya Pradesh: Jabalpur is third best performer in India, bags two awards

    Jabalpur has bagged two awards under the Smart Cities mission’s India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) 2020.

    In the best performing cities category, Jabalpur is awarded 3rd position, whereas Indore ranks first. And apart from the overall performance, it ranks 7th in data assessment and usage in city planning.

  • IN: Madhya Pradesh: State award function on excellence in e-governance on July 10

    Chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute awards to the officers and institutions for their excellent performance in e-governance on July 10. This is the sixth edition of these awards instituted by Madhya Pradesh government. The awards will be given in eight categories.

    The eight categories include IT for messages, best application software, best use of mobile technology, best employer in IT, best innovation of technology in government functioning, best use of GIS, best use of GPR and IT person of the year.

  • IN: Maharashtra: Pune Varsity bags e-governance award

    The University of Pune (UoP) has bagged the state government’s e-governance award for its Pune University Network. The network which covers examination, eligibility, finance and affiliation.

    Director of Board of College and University VB Gaikwad said, “This year, we have already sent question papers for four different subjects of different faculty online to colleges. Earlier we used to send paper copies of question papers. But this year, online papers were sent to avoid the leakage of the question paper,” informed Gaikwad adding that it included engineering, Bachelor of Education and Masters in Education courses.

    Madhya Pradesh Tourism (MPT) has won ‘m-Governance in Madhya Pradesh’ award for the best use of mobile technology at the e-Governance in Madhya Pradesh award function on July 10, 2012.

    The award was given by the Department of Information Technology, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh (MP).

    A large number of travellers visit various destinations in MP for leisure, business and family reunions.

  • IN: Nagaland: Kohima, Agartala only northeast cities shortlisted for India Smart Cities Award Contest

    The Competition aims to reward cities, projects and ideas promoting the spirit of the Smart Cities Mission under the theme “Building Cities for People”

    Kohima, the capital of Nagaland and Agartala, the capital of Tripura, made it to the list of top 66 smart cities in the country selected for the second stage of the India Smart Cities Award Contest.

  • IN: North-East Region Ministry gets award for best web content

    The Development of North East Region (DoNER) Ministry has  received the Union Information Technology Ministry Award for outstanding website content on its site http://doner.gov.in.

    The award titled “Web Ratna Award 2014” under the category of outstanding content was conferred here to Minister Jitendra Singh in recognition of the exemplary efforts made by the DoNER Ministry for promoting e-governance initiatives.

    The Bhubaneswar Smart City has done it again. It has bagged the prestigious SKOCH Awards in two categories, for which announcement was made in November 2021.

    While the Bhubaneswar Smart City has won the award under Urban Governance Category for unified city portal Bhubaneswar.Me, it has won the Ease of Doing Business award for the Building Plan Approval System (BPAS) for it’s citizen-driven service and utility.
