The Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police, as part of the nationwide Innovation Week, has launched its first virtual police assistance to provide a variety of most needed services for the public.

Lt-Col Mohammed Al Ahmad, director of the electronic services and communications department with the RAK Police, said the new invention has been derived from a popular animation character.

This step reflects the UAE government’s vision and the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to achieve sustainable development and ensure a smooth transition to e-government.

As part of the mGovernment initiatives, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) launched the E-services and smartphones applications award.

The award has four main categories and applications will be accepted from July 15 to September 15. Winners will be announced in a special ceremony to be held during the 35th edition of Gitex Technology Week 2015, in Dubai.

Dubai Courts Department’s (DCD) notary public offices at Al Twar and Al Barsha will start operating 12 hours a day from May 1.

“The notary public offices at both branches [Twar and Barsha] will be operating fully and rendering all services from 8am until 8pm daily to all clients. According to the latest survey revealed by research group YouGov ME this year, more families from the Middle East are jetting off to new destinations and contributing towards tourism figures.
