  • AE: Batelco launches free access to eGov services

    In line with the National Day celebrations, and in an initiative that aims at providing free access to E-government services to citizens and residents, Batelco, Bahrain’s leading internet service provider and eGovernment Authority (eGA) jointly entered into a collaboration that will provide – for the first time – free web access to the E-Government portal and Ministry websites for all Batelco fixed line and mobile customers. This would include all web pages and electronic services provided from within the portals. The free access will also include those who do not have an active fixed broadband or mobile data subscription with Batelco.

  • AE: Community Development Authority showcases advanced e-Services at GITEX 2012

    The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai is participating in GITEX 2012, the premier technology exhibition and conference in the Middle East, under the Dubai e-Government umbrella. The exhibition, which is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre until October 18, has provided CDA with a wide platform to showcase its website featuring state-of-the-art electronic services and IT infrastructure.

    The Social Regulatory and Licensing sector services which are a new addition to its Integrated Case Management System (ICMS) will be introduced by CDA at GITEX 2012. This service provides the automation of all its procedures as well as its regulatory and licensing operations such as registering and licensing of social clubs, professionals and facilities; and scheduling visits. The Social Regulatory and Licensing aims at increasing the efficiency and productivity of this sector by achieving its strategic goals with relatively small resource requirements.

  • AE: Community services made more accessible

    CDA website revamped to include six new e-services

    Whether it’s registering a social club, seeking professional psychological help, or reporting human rights violations, Dubai residents can now access these services from Community Development Authority (CDA) with just a click of a mouse.

    CDA has revamped its website to include six new e-services into its portal including the Social Benefits, El Kayt programme, and Facilities and Venues Booking for UAE nationals. Other e-services for the public have likewise been added such as Social Service Provider, Human Rights Complaints, and Application Enquiry.

  • AE: Customs introduces advanced e-services

    The Dubai Customs, in a bid to boost business, launched special mobile e-services for their 100,000 plus customers, a media release said.

    The mobile phone electronic services, initiated on Wednesday, are directed to the companies and firms that use 'Mirsal-2' in processing customs transactions, apart from other clients and staff.

    Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Executive Director, Customers Management, at a customs announcement event said the move is aimed to make customs services accessible round-the-clock with a variety of free, advanced and easy to reach electronic services.

  • AE: DED forms partnership with Infas ME for improved e-services and customer experience

    The Department of Economic Development has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the technology solutions provider Infas ME to collaborate in promoting electronic services and information exchange. The partnership, which will see Infas ME providing state-of-the-art information technology solutions and support services to DED, is part of DED 's efforts to accomplish the vision and strategy of the Government of Dubai to enhance service delivery.

    The MoU was signed by Mohammed Al Shehhi, Deputy Executive Director of Shared Services sector in DED, and Raef Eid, General Manager of Infas ME, in the presence of senior executives from DED and its agencies as well as Infas ME representatives.

  • AE: DED signs agreement with Al Reaya Services to promote eServices for customers

    The Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) has signed an agreement with Al Reaya Services to enhance the eServices being offered to customers, expedite licences, and simplify doing business in Dubai.

    Mr Mohammed Shael Al Saadi, CEO, Business Registration and Licensing Division of DED, and Mr Abdulla Nasser Al Nuaimi, General Manager of Al Reaya Services, signed the agreement at the DED headquarters recently.

  • AE: DED to expand e-Services through law firms

    The Business Registration and Licencing, or BRL, Division of the Dubai Department of Economic Development, or DED, will expand its e-Services window by offering these services through law firms in Dubai by August.

    The initiative will be a significant value addition for business owners and investors as it allows them to complete business registrations faster and at their convenience.

  • AE: DeG and DTCM discuss means of supporting tourist sector with more eServices

    H.E. Ahmed Bin Humaidan, Director General of Dubai eGovernment (DeG) Department welcomed the recent visit of Director-General, H.E Hilal Saeed Al Marri of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) with both promising to work closely to enhance government connectivity for the tourist sector in Dubai.

    During the meeting, the two sides discussed the means of further developing their relations and supporting DTCM's efforts towards eTransformation. They also discussed the role that DeG could play to develop its eServices provided to the government entities with the aim of serving the tourist sector in general and contributing to easing the needs and transaction of visitors to Dubai.

  • AE: Department of Municipalities and Transport adds 13 New Services to its SmartHub digital platform

    Department of Municipalities and Transport has introduced 13 new services to its SmartHub digital platform, as part of its ongoing efforts to boost Abu Dhabi’s position in the global smart cities’ rankings.

    The 13 services fall under the vision of the Emirate’s wise leadership and Abu Dhabi government’s strategy to upgrade work systems to provide citizens and residents with advanced and easily accessible channels.

  • AE: DEWA and Emirates NBD launch new initiative

    Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched a new campaign, in partnership with Emirates NBD, as part of its strategy to promote e-Services to increase efficiency, provide best possible services to its customers, and encourage the use of latest technologies.

    The campaign aims to encourage customers who debit cards to pay DEWA bills online, through DEWA's mobile phone (mPay) service or the ePay facility on DEWA's website (dewa.gov.ae), which also includes the Auto-Payment feature. The facility is provided in collaboration with Dubai e-Government.

    Utility to launch new services portal for entire service timeline

    Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is showing its commitment to eGovernment at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, with the launch of a host of new e-services for customers.DEWA, which is one of the biggest participants from the Dubai government, is showing a range of new apps and services, which are launched under the theme ‘Serving you more with eConvenience.’

    The utility will launch its new DEWA website, and will also highlight Geographical information systems, online services including bill payment, activation of supply, final bill request, and registration.

  • AE: DEWA leads the way in eServices at GITEX

    In fulfillment to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s, DEWA’s, plan and Dubai eGovernment’s strategy to increase the usage of eServices, DEWA is showcasing the latest customer service technologies during GITEX 2012, one of the world’s top three ICT, Information, Communication, and Technology exhibitions, this year, which kicks off today in the Dubai World Trade Centre to encourage customers to benefit from eServices.

    One of the most customer-centric tools introduced by DEWA this year is the eConsumption graph, which allows customers to view and compare their electricity and water consumption on a monthly and yearly basis. Aside from that, it also allows customers with multiple accounts to compare the consumption of up to ten accounts simultaneously.

    One of the most customer-centric tools introduced by Dewa this year is the eConsumption graph, which allows customers to view and compare their electricity and water consumption on a monthly and yearly basis. It also allows customers with multiple accounts to compare the consumption of up to ten accounts simultaneously.

    • Sultan Butti bin Mejren: DLD is one of the first entities to adopt technology and artificial intelligence, and the globally first government entity to implement blockchain technology.

    Dubai Land Department (DLD) is preparing to showcase its most prominent digital services through its participation in the 41st edition of GITEX Technology Week, one of the largest technology exhibitions in the world being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 17 – 21 October.

    Dubai Smart Government Department (DSG), and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide the necessary support for the package of electronic and smart shared services.

    DEWA will benefit from and also specify the levels of support and priority-based response period as necessary to fulfil the leadership's vision of combining efforts to fulfill Dubai Vision 2021 and the ultimate goal of bringing happiness to customers.

    Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry highlighted its effective and efficient services and initiatives during its participation in the Dubai Forum for Government's Best Practices today.

    Dubai Chamber had a stand at the event, organised as part of the Dubai Government Excellence Program, which showcased its range of e-services, including membership registration and renewal, issuance of Certificates of Origin, authentication of documents and e-payment and integrated services provided in partnership with other organisations.

    Dubai Forum for Government Best Practices is an annual event which aims to exchange experience and knowledge between the various Dubai Government agencies, as well as impact the latest trends and practices in government excellence.

  • AE: Dubai Courts offers full-fledged e-services

    Clients can apply anytime anywhere without a need to print papers

    Dubai Courts took a giant step yesterday and became one of the few justice departments worldwide to offer full-fledged e-services to its clients after launching 14 new notary public e-services.

    The General Director of Dubai Courts (DC), Dr Ahmad Bin Hazeem, described the launching of 14 notary public e-services ‘as a historic phase in Dubai Courts' mission to convert all its transactions and services into electronic'.

  • AE: Dubai Customs launches bouquet of mobile e-services

    Dubai Customs has recently launched a bouquet of mobile phone electronic services directed to companies and firms that use "Mirsal 2" in its different customs transactions, and to all clients and staff.

    The new service was launched during a celebration that was held at Dubai Customs' main building on Wednesday 26 January 2011with the presence of Mr. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Executive Director of the Customers Management division, and Juma Al Ghaith, Executive Director of the Customs Development Division as well as a number of department's senior executives and representatives of major companies and firms that have partnership with Dubai Customs.

  • AE: Dubai Customs launches number of its mobile e-services at Gitex 2011,

    HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai attended yesterday 9 October 2011 the launch of a number of mobile e-services by Dubai Customs at Gitex 2011.

    That took place during a tour HH made to stands taking part at the international exhibition. HH listened to a detailed explanation on the new services presented by Ahmed Mahboub Musabih, Executive Director of the Clients Management Division. These services target companies and firms that use Mirsal 2 for their different customs transactions.
